Weingut Sigl

Located amidst Rossatz's vineyards, Weingut Sigl offers breathtaking views of the Danube Valley from Dürnstein to Krems. Wine enthusiasts can enjoy excellent wines and stunning scenery in a modern setting.

Since 2018, we've been transitioning to organic winemaking, with our wines certified organic from the 2021 vintage. Our high-quality wines, including Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, are crafted with creativity, expertise, and modern technology. The unique climate and meticulous vineyard work create wines with distinct character, each year presenting a new challenge to deliver top-quality products with love and skill.

Stefan and Manuela Gebetsberger, along with their son Stefan, lovingly manage the family winery in its fourth generation. The Gebetsberger family has been documented as winegrowers since 1859, blending traditional knowledge with new ideas. Throughout the year, they work in the vineyards, cellar, and cozy Heurigen.

Before joining our family business in 2009, I explored the wine world beyond Spitzer Graben. But I realized my heart belongs to the Wachau. In my cellar, I make wine according to my philosophy: minimal steps, gentle pumping, and no unnecessary stress. Especially for Smaragd wines, I filter and bottle late, ensuring Schneeweis wines mature fully before bottling.
